SBCC Anniversary celebration, May 11, 2019

Once again it was a memorable day for us at Sai Balaji Cancer Clinic and the Women's group. It was double celebrations and joy too with Doctor celebrating 20th   Anniversary of his clinic and the Women's group's Anniversary too. Celebration  happen for a variety of formal or informal reasons.  There is something deep inside humanity that loves to celebrate the best things in life. And SBCC is the best thing that happened to all of us. Everyone has a unique and special affinity towards Sai Balaji Cancer Clinic, Dr. Sivakumar and Dr. Kalarani Sivakumar. It's a bond grown over the years with a special love and respect. Each person coming to SBCC has a unique story and the treatment and counseling takes each one to a closer bond with them.
As Dr. Sivakumar said,  no group or Clinic celebrates its Anniversaries with performances of its patients, survivors, children or grandchildren of these patients and survivors.  That's why I always reiterate that it's a group of a unique kind. This year too the celebration had performances of all. The program started with Dr. Kalarani Sivakumar introducing the MC's as Chinnapappa and Periapappa, Mrs. Bharathi and Mrs. Krishnakumari to the audience. She welcomed everyone. That was followed by  prayer song by Mrs. Nithya Arun, Mrs. Vijayalakshmi, Mrs. Jayanthi and Mrs. Krishnakumari. The  program was as follows : fancy dress by the tiny tots - Sujini, Praneeth and Anjana, group song by Nithyakalyani, Jayanthi, Vijayalakshmi and Malarvizhi and Nithya Arun; Solo dance by Mrs. Kala Arun the dancing beauty of SBCC, Saicharan and Diya; Singing by Pratheeba, Vithya our music therapist and Nithya; group dance by Madhuvanthi, Nivetha and Swarna and Bharatha Natyam by Architha and Divya. Mrs. Prema sang a song and also performed mimicry.  A band formed by students name De Band,  Thanushree, Pavan Sai, Pradyumn Ventateswaran and Soundarya enertained us with a few songs. Their efforts  to make a band at this stage of life is  commendable.  I wish success to them. The best part of the program was the skit by SBCC group members Mrs. Jayalalitha, Mrs. Vijayalakshmi, Mrs. Jayanthi, Mrs. Shyamala Rajamani, Mrs. Sasirekha, Mrs. Indira and Mrs. Kanchana. They took us through a recap of all that took place in our monthly meetings. The skit was masterminded by Mrs. Radhadevi who put it together, but was not able to take part in the celebrations. The lazy dance by our group members dancing to the songs of yesteryears was a treat to the eyes and ears. In all it was a great program as a family. Dr. Sivakumar thanked all the sponsors, doctors and the audience. Momentos were given to all the performers. Few people felicitated Dr. Sivakumar  and Dr. Kalarani Sivakumar.  The success of any program depends on the performers and mainly the audience who attend. In fact time just flew. It takes great efforts and time to make it happen. Our heartfelt gratitude to the performers, audience, Dr. Sivakumar, Dr. Kalarani Sivakumar and all the sponsors  who made it a memorable day in our journey of life
